Erica had her first ultrasound yesterday and surprise surprise, we will be welcoming a baby GIRL to the world! Our tech was great, explaining everything she was looking for and what measurements she was taking. Everything looked and measured perfectly. Of course there are no guarantees, but we couldn't ask for anything else. She weighs about 1lb according to all the measurements they took. She was moving around quite a bit and even gave us the chance to see her suck her thumb which we caught on ultrasound. It took her awhile to find the sex of the baby due to her position but she did eventually. We've attached a scan of the still pictures they gave us (little blurry) and will try and get a video of the ultrasound loaded. You can see she gave us a little wave in the first pic.
Erica is now just over 20 weeks and has gained only about 5 pounds. You'll notice she is starting to get a little bit bigger belly now, but doc says everything will really take off here in the next two months.

That is awesome, congrats, and I recommend Jefrica as the new baby name!Jefrica Bombsager! Whatever you do, keep her away from Carter, otherwise I would have some concerns about the space time continuum and possibly the Earths gravitational pull!
Hurry up and buy a house so I can come help decorate your little girl's room! I love the fact that you saw her try to suck her thumb, so flippin' cute!
She looks beautiful in her ultrasound! So happy for you guys-it's great to hear that all the measurements look good and that her heart looks healthy. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I've already put on 5 lbs...seriously.
